There are a few recommended vaccines for Pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia for the Haj and Umrah.
- Meningococcal ACWY Vaccination - Compulsory

- Hepatitis A
- Typhoid
Meningococcal ACWY Vaccination
- Travellers to Saudi Arabia for the Haj and Umrah are required to do the Meningococcal A/C/Y/W-135 Vaccination.
- This vaccination needs to be done before leaving and requires certification.
Flu Vaccination
- Recommended for the Elderly, Children and people with medical conditions.
- Valid for 1 year.
- We are now using the Quadrivalent (aka " 4 in 1) Flu Vaccine.
Pneumococcal Vaccination
- Pneumonia is a Chest/Lung Infection caused by Pneumoccal bacteria.
- Recommended for the Elderly above 65 years old.
Hepatitis A Vaccination
- Liver Infection by Hepatitis A Virus.
- Requires 2 Doses done over 6 months.
Typhoid Vaccination
- For Food and Water Borne diseases.
- Causes symptoms of Food Poisoning.
- Oral Vaccine - 3 doses on alternate days.
- Lasts for 3 years.
