There are 3 doses to be given over a period of 6 months. The schedule is as follows: 1st dose to be followed 1 month later by 2nd dose and then the 3rd dose after 6 months. Hepatitis B is a chronic infection of the liver which in the long run may lead to Liver Cirrhosis which is hardening of the liver. This then leads on to Liver Failure and Liver Cancer. We offer Hepatitis B Vaccination to adults and children at GREENLINK MEDICAL CLINIC. For adults who have previously done the complete vaccination regime but do not have any more antibodies, you will need only one booster dose. Medisave can be used to pay for this Hepatitis B Vaccination. Hepatitis A is another infection of the liver. This is an acute infection and it does not remain in the body. People who contract this usually recover within 3 to 6 months. It is spread by eating contaminated food like shellfish, raw vegetables, fruit. Vaccination is available for both Hepatitis A and B. For Hepatitis A, it consists of 2 doses separated by 6 months. ** Medisave CANNOT be used to pay for Hepatitis A Vaccination.
